Plane is boarding soon. Here are some woodland flora elements that I’ve drawn during my layover.
Ok, I had time for a quickie. Since all my computer equipment is packed up, today I did a simple watercolor. With a real brush and real paper and everything! It’s not ready for upload to Redbubble, and I’m not going to attempt to do that on my phone. To be digitized when I can fit it in. 🙂
I’m about to embark on a business trip to Australia tomorrow morning. Today has been madness getting prepped.
I’ve made the executive decision that I will not be trying to produce a final product every single day — it’s just asking too much of myself.
I will still draw, illustrate, and otherwise create. I will also still do 365 days of creations, but they won’t be in a row.
See you in a little over a week!
My new theme sprint is: plants! I started off with a repeating pattern of an orange tree. I’ll be able to quickly repurpose the pattern to do a lemon tree, and probably a pear tree.
I’m finding it quite simple to create these repeat patterns now, even when they are somewhat complex.
This particular orange tree pattern would likely suit best as a tablecloth. See it on Redbubble.
OK, today’s my last day of this color scheme. Maybe! Tomorrow I will be either back to animals, or I may try my hand at plant-based patterns. Trees, leaves, and of course, florals.
I will no doubt use this color scheme again in the future, it’s served me well this week.
Today I went for a pattern that may work better for children’s products: rainbow rain and blue clouds. I could see working this into a baby blanket with a matching stripe as a supporting pattern.
Second to last day of the geometric rainbow designs. I’ll do my last one tomorrow and then go back to animals. However, I may do rainbow geometric animals!
I had a request for shooting stars or sound waves. I tried rainbow shooting stars but I wasn’t happy with the result. Then I tried offset sound waves and couldn’t get the repeat to work well. So I compromised with the following, which was much easier to repeat.
See it on Redbubble!
The theme continues. First diamonds, then hearts, and today stars. I likely do something different tomorrow, but the entire week will be this color scheme. Weeee!
See it on Redbubble!
